Founded in 2002 by CEO Chris Straka, Ascendant Energy Company, Inc., is both developing mainstream markets for solar energy installations and innovative products that make solar more affodable.

Ascendant has significant experience installing solar electric and solar thermal systems in commercial, institutional, and residential settings including affordable housing, education, property management, and mid-size enterprise markets.

The company also has received numerous awards from the Maine Technology Insitute to commercialize its proprietary PV/Thermal technology that delivers leading efficiencies for converting a square meter of solar energy.

Ascendant's manufacturing is located in Rockland, Maine, USA with R&D and sales offices in Rockland and Portland, Maine.
